Where is my data stored?
Inside your browser, in chrome.storage.local. It is not synced to any server, and LinProfi has no backend to sync to.
Does it work on jobs outside LinkedIn?
Yes. Use the Add job button on the dashboard to enter any role manually. The capture sidebar only appears on LinkedIn job pages.
What happens if I uninstall the extension?
Chrome removes the extension storage along with the extension. Export to CSV first if you want a backup.
Why does the extension need permission to read LinkedIn?
To read the job title, company, and apply link off the page you are looking at. It only runs on linkedin.com URLs, nowhere else.
Will there be a paid version?
A Pro tier is on the roadmap. It will sync your pipeline to the cloud so you can manage it from any browser, add a profile that travels with you, and bring in a curated job board that suggests roles based on what you have already applied to. Everything you see today stays free and local.
